Blepharoplasty Santa Monica
Asian Blepharoplasty – this is a modified eyelid reconstruction that creates a double fold in the eyelid. It works by removing skin and fat along with a small strip of Orbicularis muscle. This type of surgery creates a double eyelid crease in patients without one.
Lower Blepharoplasty – this rejuvenation of the lower eyelid, includes fat excision and/or repositioning, as well as skin excision or mid-face elevation. Patients who have bags or puffiness along their lower eyelid or have extra skin along the lower lids, are served by this procedure.
Patients who have excess lower eyelid skin may also benefit from what is called a pinch skin excision or laser resurfacing that can be performed alone or along with lower blepharoplasty. In some patients, there may be meaningful lower eyelid laxity, in which case, a full thickness lower eyelid tightening, or canthoplasty, may be necessary.
Often, with these procedures, eyelids and cheeks are repositioned upward, in order to elevate mid-face structures and smooth facial contours.
